Make a lilmixtape on the web, then send it to your Playdate with a sound. No cables, no accounts, no fuss. It is the cassette you used to dub for a crush, reborn in glorious 1-bit.

How it works

1. Build a tape at lilmixtape.com (find some songs, name it, scribble a note).
2. Hit "Make this tape Playdate-compatible" and enter the password (it is in the readme).
3. Open the lilmixtape app on your Playdate, choose "get tape," and bleep-bloop the tape over from your phone or laptop. The app hears it and starts playing.

What is inside

• A proper little player: stream a tape live, or download it and scrub with the crank.
• One tape at a time, just like a real cassette. A new bleep-bloop replaces the old one.
• Edit a tape on the web (add songs, reorder, rename) and it quietly syncs to your Playdate the next time it is online. Nothing to push.
• Pass tapes between phones and laptops too, not just Playdates.

It's just a small little musically present meant to be passed along to buddies. Make someone a mixtape.
